In 2024, the theme for our in-person GDC Party was Intergalactic! It was sponsored by Youtooz, High Score Game Arcade, Insight Editions, Limited Run, Akupara Games, and Xantus.
We had ~3K in attendance, 6K in RSVPs, hundred or so games, and a whole lot of fun.
The party featured stations where developers can show off their games, Youtooz and video game giveaways, space-themed cocktails and more.
I booked vendors, prepped decorations, secured sponsorships, crafted the drink menu, and edited videos to display on the venue's screens. (The Jumbotron featured a video highlighting some of the developers and creators on Game Jolt. One of them even posted about it here.)
You can see the party's Eventbrite here.
For our 2023 PAX West Creator Party, we hosted a networking event for Creators.
Located in Seattle's Sole Repairt Shop, we put framed QR codes up on the walls and paired each with labels like you'd see in an art gallery.
It was a really exciting way to take our Creators' digital work into the real world and help Creators connect with each other and build community.
You can see what the sign-up page looked like here.

In 2023 the theme for our in-person GDC Party was Indie Carnival! It was sponsored by Yahaha.
We had games on display from developers like Massive Monster, an in-person scavenger hunt highlighting Creators, video game-inspired cocktails, and more! (The cotton candy was VERY popular.)
